Who we are
My name is Justin Sainsbury and this is my dog Sky. I am an up and coming dog breeder located in Moses Lake, Washington. We are excited to start meeting other people who share the love of the English Mastiff breed.
My love for English Mastiffs began when I was a kid watching one of my favorite childhood movies, The Sandlot! I fell in love with how big, strong, and beautiful the breed was and knew I wanted to own one in the future. Through social media, I’ve been able to witness the dog breeding journeys of others and was inspired to do the same. I met the perfect breeder at the perfect time in my life and that’s when I got Sky!
Breeding English Mastiffs has been a dream of mine for some time I’m excited to share this journey with everyone! While doing so, I intend to do it at the highest possible standard. while breeding to the standard, improving the breed as much as possible and following all AKC and MCOA standards. Also, while finding high quality responsible forever homes. I want to ensure that all future dogs coming from me will be big, beautiful, well-tempered, and healthy. Allowing for others to enjoy this breed just as much as I have. while building relationships with people with the same love for dogs and the English Mastiff breed and enjoying the unconditional love and security an English mastiff brings to your life.
As we grow are breeding stock, we hope to grow Big Bury’s English mastiffs and invite you to be a part of are journey! We have a planned breeding for 2025 but no confirmed pregnancy yet. We will keep everyone updated as much as possible with any new info.
The English Mastiff Breed
Words to describe the breed:
English Mastiffs are a giant breed, but would better be described as gentle giants. They are amazing around kids, other dogs and other pets as well! With the amount they eat, they need a good diet to ensure they stay healthy. Since English Mastiffs are so big, they need a strong companion and pack leader. They are bred to protect and guard property and livestock, so they instinctively can be wary of strangers. Some basic obedience training and ensuring you can control them allow them to be amazing family guard dogs. English Mastiffs also don’t do well in extremely hot or cold temperatures, so having them as inside pets is most ideal. When outside in a fenced yard they are fine with moderate checkups and being brought in at night in a house, garage or shop. When picking a breed of dog to own, I personally think the English Mastiff is a great pick because of their natural protective and guarding instincts. They make a great family companion and are good with kids, while also having low demand for excessive exercise. while this is a pro to owning a English mastiff do not think that means no stimulation or exercise they are still a dog that has needs and like in any breed neglect can lead to many issues like boredom, hyperactivity, frustration, unhealthy weight gain, barking, digging and sometimes aggression or any mis Behavorial issue or any unhealthy mental or physical trait. In my opinion, this breed screams the perfect package to me due to their versatile traits and ability to either being a big lovable couch Potatoe or at the same time being a fierce home security protector while you are at your nine to five or out and about. which I think this breed fits are community and would make amazing pets for any responsible family’s, farmers, bachelors or bachelorette or any responsible adult seeking a companion. The most important thing you can do is do your own research an decide if this breed is compatible with your lifestyle.

Sky gets hand cooked meals everyday mixed with 3 cups of premium dog food for the best nutrition possible. She gets taken on walks at least an hour or more every day. Along with games like fetch, tug o’ war and lots of swimming for exercise.
